Sydney's whale watching season typically runs from May to November, as thousands of humpback whales migrate along Australia's east coast. Peak viewing is generally between June and October.

The most commonly sighted species is the Humpback Whale, famous for its spectacular breaching, tail slaps and playful behaviour. Depending on the day, you may also spot dolphins, seals and a variety of seabirds.

Breaching is one of the most exciting behaviours to witness and is seen regularly throughout the migration season. While every cruise is different and whales are wild animals, your experienced crew will help maximise your chances of an unforgettable encounter.

If your cruise is cancelled due to unsafe weather or operational reasons, you'll be contacted by the operator with the available options, including rescheduling your experience or receiving a refund in accordance with their booking policy.

Tours operate in most weather conditions. However, if sea or weather conditions are considered unsafe, your cruise may be postponed or cancelled. If this occurs, the operator will contact you to arrange an alternative date or provide the available options.
