Frequently Asked Questions

We are a specialised, premium charter agency. Think of us as your personal luxury event concierge. Instead of you spending days calling individual boat owners, checking schedules, and managing different catering rules, we do all the heavy lifting for you. We work closely with the best vessel owners in Australia to find the absolute perfect match for your group size, budget, and event style. Best of all, because boat owners pay us a standard commission to handle their bookings and logistics, booking through us costs you exactly the same as going direct.

This is easily the most common question we get! The short answer is: the cruise goes ahead. Almost every luxury vessel in our fleet features expansive, beautiful indoor saloons and protective canvas weather-coverings so your event stays completely comfortable and dry. A charter is only cancelled or rescheduled if the commercial marine authorities deem the weather actively unsafe (like an extreme gale warning). If the boat is legally able to sail, the charter will proceed.

We hate hidden surprises just as much as you do, so we ensure every quote is fully broken down before you pay a deposit. Generally, your base hourly rate includes the hire of the vessel, the captain, and your specialised marine crew and fuel. What is typically charged separately (depending on the specific boat) are wharf booking fees (usually a flat $50–$60 per stop charged by the harbour authority), service/waitstaff fees, and your chosen food and drink packages.

If you choose a vessel that allows BYO catering, maritime laws and Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) regulations require that a substantial amount of food must be on board if alcohol is being consumed. Substantial means a proper meal's worth of food—think BBQ meats, wraps, heavy sandwiches, or boxes of pizza. Light snacks like a few bags of crisps and dips or a fruit platter do not count, and by law, the captain cannot drop the ropes and leave the wharf if proper food isn't present.

This trips a lot of people up! Public wharves (like King Street Wharf in Darling Harbour) are strictly regulated zones. Boats are only given a tight 15-minute window to pull up, securely tie up, safely load all passengers, and pull away. Because wharves are booked back-to-back, the boat cannot wait if guests are late. We strongly recommend instructing your entire group to arrive at the wharf 20 to 30 minutes before your scheduled departure time so everyone is lined up and ready to step aboard the moment the vessel arrives.

A security bond (or Advanced Provisional Allowance for larger superyachts) is a standard pre-authorisation hold processed on your credit card in the week leading up to your cruise. It acts just like a standard hotel room check-in bond. It is held as a precautionary measure to cover unexpected mishaps, deep cleaning (like severe red wine spills on white carpets), or damage to marine fittings. As long as the boat comes back in the same condition it left, the temporary bank hold automatically expires and releases your funds within a few business days post-cruise.
-
Yes, absolutely! Almost every vessel in our fleet comes equipped with modern, high-quality marine sound systems that connect seamlessly via Bluetooth or auxiliary jacks so you can control your own playlist.
As for footwear, it depends entirely on the ship. Some high-end luxury superyachts have a strict "shoes-off" policy to protect delicate teak decks, while others just ban sharp stiletto heels. We will always let you know the specific shoe-code for your chosen boat well ahead of time.

You can always increase your guest numbers up to 7 days before your cruise, provided it doesn't push the boat past its legal passenger capacity limit. However, once your 50% deposit is paid, it locks in that specific vessel, date, and time, meaning guest numbers cannot be decreased to lower the core vessel cost. Because our boats are highly sought-after and book out months in advance, deposits are non-refundable. If an emergency arises, please get in touch immediately and we will do everything humanly possible to work with the boat owner to find a fair solution.
